DON'T CALL THEM ROCKABILLY
Kitty, Daisy and Lewis don't bother with modern instruments or digital recording equipment. They release 78 rpm records and build vintage recording studios in their parents' London home. One of which happens to be Ingrid Weiss of the Raincoats, who now plays bass in their band.
It's safe to say I am in love with them.

NAUGHTY GIRLS

The only thing I love more than Teddy Boys are Teddy Girls. British filmographer Ken Russell was the only person to purposefully capture the feminine side of the much revered Teddy Boy subculture of the early 1950s in Britain. "They were so bizarrely dressed." I beg to differ, Mr. Russell.
Russell later went on to make some highly controversial films, including a screen adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's Women in Love, which apparently features a much talked about nude male wrestling scene.
If anyone needs me, I'll be over at YouTube.

SHOWING TEETH
Fourth of July weekend chewed me up and spit me out. I am sunburned. Dehydrated. Cranky. Crocodiles to the rescue. Now I am reliving all of the great memories created in Dolores Park, SF over the past three days.
