New Psychic Ills track free for the taking. 'Mind Daze' is off of the band's forthcoming album, Hazed Dream, out on Sacred Bones (October 18). Lovers of black boot shuffling, hands in pockets, desert garage gazing - ala Spectrum, Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Warlocks - will be down with this. Though the darkly upbeat nature of 'Mind Daze' is close to the band's core, it's a bit of a departure from their explicitly gloomy output on previous albums, Dins and Early Violence.
I'm really looking forward to hearing more of this record next month. Here's a little preview:
